If you’ve read these fashion posts, you probably already know that denim is one of the hottest trends for spring 2017; but it’s also such a standard in our wardrobes, it can be hard to find ways to make the material seem fresh or stylish. That’s why I was so drawn to this asymmetric cut on this basic shift dress. Asymmetry has been a staple on the runway for the past several years, but this Zara dress gives denim a modern, trend-conscious update. Don’t be afraid of the word trend though, the dark wash denim is classic enough to wear for years to come. Additionally, the red piping and zipper detail give the dress a sporty feel perfect for those who favor a more stylish athleisure look.
