As it is Halloween, the time for subtle is over. It’s time to go all out! Who’s the most fashionable lover of all things dark? Morticia Addams. This isn’t just any Morticia though, it’s Pastel Goth Morticia. I like to think that, in her younger years, Morticia liked a little color with all of her black. Perhaps this is why she has such a disdain for pastel later in life, as she says to the character Debbie in the 1993 movie, Addams Family Values, “You have gone too far. You have married Fester. You have destroyed his spirit. You have taken him from us. All that I could forgive. But Debbie… pastels?”
Even though Morticia loves the color black, as do most INTJs, she is actually an ISFJ. Because INTJs and ISFJs have no shared cognitive functions, ISFJs can seem enigmatic to the INTJ. Yet, if there is one thing the INTJ loves, it’s the mysterious. Since Morticia’s daughter, Wednesday Addams, is an INTJ, we can see just how these two MBTI dynamics interact with each other.
