Fresh White and Blue Summer Style Look 5
Fresh White and Blue Summer Style Look 5 is the best of the cold shoulder trend. The cold shoulder trend has been on the rise since 2016, but as with most major trends, it is mostly a remix of trends past. The cold shoulder hails from the mid-1800s, started by designer Charles Frederick Worth. It rose again in the 1960’s when actress Bridget Bardot wore it as more of an off- the-shoulder style, which is why you’ll see some looks called Bardot sleeves.
Today, the trend has returned stronger than ever, in part due to changes in climate, nostalgia for the past, and the flattering silhouette and versatility of the style. Case in point, a cold shoulder on a full skirt, tea length dress, updating a 1950’s silhouette with a not quite so modern trend.
