Hello, Uttori Dangels. As 2017 gets under way, I wanted to share a big change coming to my life in 2017. After spending the last two years working, I will be heading back to school this March. If you’ve read my About Me page, you know that I have a bachelor’s degree in Global Studies. I’ve always been interested in International Business, but I’m not a fan of economics, so Global Studies worked. Now, I will be working on a Masters of Fine Arts in Luxury and Fashion Management. I’m especially excited as the school I will be attending is located in Hong Kong, a global center for fashion and manufacturing. The opportunities related to studying abroad are many, and being in Hong Kong will give me the chance to share my travels and experiences with readers of this blog.
As for the blog, I’m not expecting any major changes. I have a content calendar that goes through to 2018 (INTJ, baby!), but with school projects, I may, in the future, need to cut back on the amount of content creation. Unlike some blogs, Always Uttori has a team, with my family helping with technology topics and photography. So, I do have help in creating content for the blog; but all INTJ content is my responsibility. In truth, my family are still learning about MBTI. However, they are enthusiastic, and have committed to helping where they can. My goal in starting Always Uttori has always been to build an introvert lifestyle brand. I am excited to further my knowledge of the industry, and to learn more about creating great products and services for the introvert community. For those of you who may be interested, Always Uttori is already an international blog. According to Google Analytics, we have readers from almost every country in the world, from Australia to Zaire. It is my hope that my time in Hong Kong will only make the Always Uttori blog, and subsequent lifestyle offerings, more valuable to our readers. Add in authentic Chinese cuisine, and I’m looking forward to 2017 with excitement.
Anyway, while I’m not in Hong Kong yet, I decided to do a little travel photo shoot at my local airport. I was actually at the airport to pick my brother up on his return for the winter holidays. In preparing for my own travels, I got to thinking about how travel fashion is always a tricky thing, especially when you are traveling internationally. You need to be comfortable, but still look put together. Luckily, this is right up an INTJ’s alley, as the core motivation of the fashion is functionality.
For this outfit, I chose leggings, which are comfortable, but don’t look frumpy. I layered a jacket over a three C’s t-shirt: comfortable, cute, and cotton. The boots aren’t uncomfortable, but for an international flight, you’d want to bring along some fuzzy socks, or other soft slippers to change into for the actual plane flight. The hat and sunglasses take it from simple to “fashion.”
After a rough 2016, I hope that Always Uttori readers are looking forward, and that 2017 will be a great year for us all. In any event, look for more culture and international content from us in the future, but for now, míngtiān jiàn!
