Introvert Love: Anti-Romance Fashion look 3, Paint it Black

Now that you’ve won the parents over with Monday’s super sweet look (where we talked about loving the INTJ paradoxical girl), you can put that functional costume back in the closet, and return to letting your true INTJ shine. For this Quirky Girl Thursday, I’m wearing one of my favorite looks from last year. It’s a little goth, a little edgy, and a lot of black. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do edgy on a budget. Most of the items from this outfit were $20.00 or less. The Alexander Wang bag was free, from the H&M collaboration with Wang in 2014. The most expensive item was the vest, which was $60, but it pulls the look together.

Speaking of looks, if I look slightly pained to you, it’s because this photo was shot in Savannah, GA last summer, during a 90º degree heat wave. Savannah is a coastal town, so that heat came with a big dose of humidity.  No matter where you are, wearing all black in that kind of weather is insane. Luckily, we did make a stop for ice cream at Leopold’s after the photo shoot, which made almost getting heat stroke worth it (not really, not even for fashion should you play around with heat stroke, but it reads well). If you ever find yourself in Savannah, be sure to give Leopold’s a try. Their caramel ice cream is my favorite.

Oh for fashion’s sake!
