The Always Uttori Spring Fashion Denim Look 4 is one of my favorites in this series. In fact, I took this pair of pants with me to Hong Kong. I’m sure my classmates are getting tired of seeing them, but I love them, and I didn’t take enough clothes (that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it). I have to say, Zara really struck a home run in combining the slogan trend with the denim trend for spring/summer 2017. With this look, I decided to go against slogan by being as un-serious as possible. The vest is turned backward, the hair is puffed, and the lipstick is candy-pop all the way.
Will be serious?
Nope. Will be quirky? Always. That’s just me. As with many of our photo shoots, the goal of the styling process was to create a visually interesting photo, and a wearable outfit. I don’t know if we got visually interesting, certainly not in the sense of a professional photo shoot; but I do like the styling. I might be tempted to wear the look as is just because it genuinely appeals to my sensibilities. Of course, wearing the vest backward was about finding a way to show the back of the shirt, which is also on trend with a “more than letters” slogan. To me, the message is to fight stereotypes. So, today’s look brought to your by an over-developed Ni, feeling the love of quirky. Yeah, it’s a bit overworked, and maybe even overly trend-focused, but sometimes trends are just what you need to break out of the INTJ love of classics rut. Since spring has sprung, there couldn’t be any more perfect time than now to ring in quirky.
