Happy First Day of Spring 2017!

Gothic Romance fashion doesn’t scream spring, but, in the INTJ fashion style book, black is an any season color, besides, the flower pattern in the lace adds a subtle nod to greener days ahead (I’ve still got ice on my pond). Moreover, we need a rest from all the green from St. Patrick’s Day. In fact, modern Gothic fashion, while inspired by Victorian era mourning fashion, was a counter movement to the sparkly and bright disco fashion of the 1970’s and 1980’s. Although Victorians were known to be over the top in their fashion tastes, modern Gothic is accepting of extravagance, as long as the primary color focus is black, black, or hmmm, black.

Today’s look is retrained, but still skews Gothic in nature. The color black, lace, and religious symbology are all key features in Gothic fashion. Maybe instead of Gothic romance, this is more modern and classy Goth.
