INTJ Music Playlist #6: Christmas Playlist

It’s time for the INTJ Christmas playlist. Honestly, as most Christmas music is sappy and overly emotional, this playlist was a bit more difficult than usual. However, I think this is the time of the year where traditions supersede the role of logic. Music is meant to connect us to the moments that make the season special. Hopefully, you will find songs to add to your enjoyment of the season.

Christmas Comes but Once a Year–Amos Milburn

Yes, I already shared this song in the INTJ Principles of the Season article, but I can’t emphasize enough how important it is that we keep the specialness of Christmas to this time of year. The great thing about this song is that it talks about celebrating and enjoying the season, but doesn’t forget the practical side of things, like paying the bills. Very INTJ.

Carol of the Bells–The Bird and the Bee

A beautiful version (one of my favorites) of this Christmas classic. After the practicality of the last song, it’s nice to get lost in the trance like magic of the holidays.

Angels We Have Heard on High–The Piano Guys

This video is just fun to watch. The musicality is great, and it’s cool to see the creative ways the Piano Guys update and change old songs.

A Mad Russian’s Christmas–Trans Siberian Orchestra

Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker is a classic of the Christmas season for many. This medley hits all the best songs with a fun rock edge.

Last Christmas–Wham!

This is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Yes it’s a little sad, but sometimes I like to indulge in the emotion. The story does sound like an introvert who’s been hurt in love.

  1. Nice picks! I love several of these songs, particularly the music from The Nutcracker. Have you listened to any of Pentatonix’s Christmas albums? I’ve been breaking out their music often this season.
