Always Uttori Femme Dangels know that one of the main reasons I started this blog was because of this idea that introverts can’t be fashionable. While it may be an introvert’s ideal dream to stay in, read books, or watch Netflix all day in their PJs, oh, and play with cats, it isn’t reality — at least not one we can live all the time. It’s those times when you do get to live the dream, the times when you’re staying in, that require what we at Always Uttori call “Cozy Couture.” Cozy Couture isn’t athleisure, it might be, but it’s not necessarily pajamas. Cozy couture is comfortable fashion – something you can relax and lounge about in, and yet, still open the door for the UPS guy. I’m not a cold weather person, but one of the best things about the fall and winter seasons is that retailers carry more cozy couture at this time of the year. What should you look for when you want to add to your cozy couture wardrobe?  Glad you asked. 😀 It doesn’t take much.  Accessories are the easiest and the least expensive way to couture up your cozy. For example, pull your hair back with a rhinestone headband, and add a pair of rhinestone embellished shoes as shown in today’s picture. Add a pair of those super popular slides with an embellished heel to your knit joggers; or layer textured knits (like a thin sweater with a long cardigan). My goal this year is to get a set of those chic pajamas we highlighted earlier this year, just because I love the idea of them. The key to cozy couture is comfort first, sparkles, embellished, and/or texture to couture (and kept to a minimum).

Cozy couture elevates this comfortable quilted sweatshirt into something that is cozy, but also fashionable (by the way, this is another outfit that I purchased all of the pieces for, so this is not an example of an INTJ being styled. It is INTJ styled from head-to-inexpensive-rhinestone-studded-shoes!). Beyond couture, this look is my perfect reading by the window, meeting friends at the mall, or cozying up by the fire with the cat.

And, as we all know, winter is coming, so, to get you ready to face the chill, today’s look is also perfect with this yummy apple cider recipe! Yes, I’m drinking tea in the picture, but this is the season for a bit of apple spice. If you try the recipe, I’d love to know what you think. I’d also love to know how you couture your cozy styles. Feel free to share your tips in the comments section.
