Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to talk holiday fashion. Yeah. Holiday fashion. Holiday fashion is just one more in a long list of mehs that introverts (and especially INTJs) find stressful about this so-called season of cheer. After all, this is the one time of the year that you get pictures taken of you . . . if your family is anything like my family, you get LOTS of pictures taken of you. You don’t want to look like the horror of Christmas past in your photos. You’re an introverted intuitive. You’re a femme dangel. You want to look nice, or at least vaguely threatening. Okay, maybe not the vaguely threatening meme, but you do want to look nice without going overboard, and without being her, the one that always wears the ugly sweater. Never fear my fellow INTJ femmes. Always Uttori will be sharing celebratory looks for both Christmas and New Year’s. Starting this Thursday, it’s New Year’s Day out-on-the-town looks.  Do you have to go out on the town to wear the looks? Absolutely not. I often dress up during the holidays just because I want to. Even when I do attend holiday parties, I’ve found that I stand out because Midwest pragmatism means that Minnesotans don’t do fashion – not like they do on either the east or west coasts, nor as they do in the South. We, in the Midwest, invented ugly sweaters and, by golly, the uglier, the better.  Monday looks will highlight Always Uttori Christmas fashion. By sharing these styles, I hope the art of holiday fashion will be demystified and that, with your fashion covered, navigating holiday obligations will be a little less stressful.

We actually had too many holiday looks, so our first introvert holiday look is not for Christmas, but is, instead, for that sultry kiss at midnight, when the clock strikes in a New Year. Or, if you prefer, stuffing your face with desserts at the buffet table, my own personal ideal start to a New Year. You’ll look chic and elegant while doing heavy lifting on those cheesecake bites. This outfit works for the holidays because of the interplay of drama and surprise that occurs with the lace overlay and skin-tone under-dress. The earrings add some edge that take this from romantic to cool. The back of the dress is beautiful, but this is one of our older pics, taken on the Sony A100  (our ten-year-old behemoth), and most of the pictures turned out blurry.
