Can you believe it’s already time for the INTJ October 2017 Challenge? Summer seemed to fly by, and now it’s back to the grindstone of work, school, life. If you’ve been especially busy, September’s self-care challenge may have been a needed pause in a fast-forward life. So, the question of the day: How did September’s self-care challenge go? Hopefully, you were able to carve out a bit of time for some self-care.
Grading the Challenger
As for me, I practiced self-care as a necessity. Crossing time zones can be rough on the body. After an overnight flight delay, followed by a 14-hour flight, a 4-hour wait to get my dorm key, and lots of stress, it’s not surprising that I ended up with the flu (plus something was going around among my classmates). Granted, the self-care I used had little to do with revitalization and more to do with chicken soup, but although I made it to my classes, instead of exploring as I wanted, I focused on self-care so that I could recover more quickly. Thankfully, I am now fully recovered and will be able to get out and about to take pictures of my adventures around Hong Kong.
October 2017 INTJ Challenge
This month’s challenge is to expand your world by getting to know someone you find difficult to read or understand. It can be a challenge to talk to someone who seems to be so different from you, but pushing forward enables you to not only make surprising connections with others, but to also strengthen and enhance your brain’s neuronal connections for human interaction. People who celebrate diversity in their relationships create more neuronal connections, which can broaden your ability to respond in complex social situations.
