INTJ Playlist #11: Creativity Inspiration

Happy May! This month’s playlist: INTJ Playlist #11: Creativity Inspiration, is about feeding your creative process with instrumental music. Late musician and non-conformist, Frank Zappa, had this to say about music:

“Information is not knowledge. Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is not truth. Truth is not beauty. Beauty is not love. Love is not music. Music is the best.”

It’s not a “music heals all” quote, but it does possess a profoundness that is required to be truly creative. What I think Zappa meant is this – so much that we accept as truth, isn’t.  When we utilize platitudes, or substitutes for the truth, as a foundation for our creative process, it will show. To be truly creative, start with truth. To Frank Zappa, a self-taught composer making music in an era that required genuine knowledge of music composition, music was the best because it required truth. Anyway, that’s just my own little theory of the meaning behind the quote. What do you think? Feel free to share your thoughts below. If you have tried to comment in the past, but have encountered issues, we are happy to say that the problem with our comment system has been fixed. Sincerest apologies to anyone who may have been frustrated by this issue.
