It’s not quite May, but it’s time to introduce this month’s INTJ challenge. But before we do that, let’s recap April’s challenge.

Travel: the Report

Last month, I challenged you to travel, to go somewhere you haven’t been as a way of growing new neurons in your brain. So, how’d it go? Did you do it? Was it a challenge? Stressful? Hard? This is one of those instances where a challenge is actually good for you and for your brain, so I hope that you challenged your mastermind and grew a few new neurons. Don’t let your neuronal pathways relax! Additionally, I’d love to know how it went for you in the comments below. As for me, I admit that I’m cheating a bit since I recently relocated to Hong Kong. Believe me, it’s easy for me to have a new and challenging experience each time I walk out the door. So much so, that it makes it hard for me to pick one to share, but if I must I do have one experience that sticks out in my mind. This last Friday, along with a pair of friends, I went to Mong Kok, known for being the most densely populated area in Hong Kong. What an amazing experience. We did a few of the usual types of things art design student do, we visited an art store, took pictures of graffiti and assessed the artistic talent, shared a mochi egg waffle, it was fun.

The most interesting part of the trip for me, however, was a walk down a pet street. This is a street where every store located on the street was some kind of pet store. The variety of pets was amazing, from cats and dogs to fish and reptiles, and turtles. It was very different from visiting a pet store in a mall, or going to an animal breeder to buy a pet.  We only scratched the surface of the neighborhood, but it was a challenge to my way of seeing the world, and I learned a little more about Chinese culture, which is always fun.

May: the challenge

This month’s challenge is to find an inspirational place that boosts your creativity and gets your imagination going. Whether that be the library, a music store, the park, a lake, whatever, find it and bask in its inspirational power. Good luck!
