One of my favorite things to do in the summer is sit on my deck and get some Vitamin D. This is especially important in Minnesota where the winters are long, and the sun is scarce. Unfortunately, I am allergic to the sun. It’s true. I get rashes if I don’t apply sunscreen before going out into the sun. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating: sunscreen is important no matter your ethnic background. Anyway, despite my having vampire blood (why else would I be allergic to the sun?), nothing can beat the feeling of soaking up some sun, listening to the birds chirp and luxuriating in the quiet of my own hidden world. The deck is my own private Introvert’s paradise. If nothing else it is good practice for actively enjoying the moment, something that’s often difficult for INTJs.
