Bring on the Drama October Fashion | Frilled and Dangerous

Last week, with our Bring on the Drama look, we talked shape as a way to bring visual interest to an all-black outfit. There are many ways to utilize shape, but one fun subset of shape is the incorporated asymmetry in the pant. Today’s look, Frilled and Dangerous, does just that.

The asymmetrical cut of the pants in this look not only draws the eye up the leg, it also highlights a pop of color. Sure, today’s look isn’t all black, but there is no better way to incorporate pops of color than a monochrome outfit. And besides, as it is the Halloween season, we can be forgiven a pop of orange. Of course, the bell sleeved blazer isn’t asymmetrical, but it does mirror the shape of the pant and helps to balance out the outfit. So, bring on the double drama with the asymmetrical pants and the large bell-sleeve jacket.
