Bring on the Drama October Fashion | Black and Fabulous

October is coming to an end, and so, too, is our Bring on the Drama October Fashion. We’ve been highlighting all black looks and discussing ways to take all black to the next (dramatic) level by using techniques like texture, shape, and asymmetry. For today’s Black and Fabulous look, we utilized negative space.

Negative space it really just my fancy way of saying, show some skin, girl! Now showing skin doesn’t mean you have to be sleazy, there are tasteful ways to keep the all black and girly goth aesthetic going while also breaking up the monochrome with skin. Our cut out pants illustrate this point. Because this outfit has so much volume, it has a potential to be overwhelming. This is compounded by the fact that all the fabric is also one color. By using negative space to counterbalance the volume, you can achieve all black and fabulous drama without it overwhelming you.
