From today on, we will be sharing our November holiday or “fall-i-day” looks. On Mondays, we will share going out looks; on Thursdays, we will share more introverted styles for solo or family celebrations.
Our first out-and-about look is perfect for a holiday party. Sure, you might not really want to go, but we can’t escape every obligation. The cropped nature of the tweed blouse takes a classic concept and updates it. Pair it with a wool skirt with leather trim, and you have a hip very merry look, rather than the stuffed turkey in tweed that such fabrics typically inspire. If it gets chilly where you live, warmer fabrics like tweeds and wools are a must pretty early in the season. Still, a need for warmth doesn’t mean you have to lack style. These fabrics work to keep your core warm with the added bonus that you get to show some leg. The last photo shows how to wear the same look in a colder climate (and yes, I did get a haircut between photo shoots).
